The Real estate Investment Club of Austin, hereinafter referred to as REICAUSTIN, is a for profit organization. It is the responsibility of the members, sponsors, and vendors to treat this organization with the utmost professionalism. REICAUSTIN members are civic-minded and operate according to the highest ethical standards. REICAUSTIN sponsors and vendors should adhere to the same civic-minded, high ethical standards. The name REICAUSTIN is synonymous with competency, fairness, and integrity, and honor. Therefore we expect all of our members, sponsors, and vendors to practice a high level of competency in their trade, fairness in all business practices, a high level of integrity at all times, and to treat all customers and clients honorably and respectfully. By accepting these standards, every REICAUSTIN member, sponsor, and vendor pledges to conduct business with fellow members and with the general public in accordance to the articles set below: I. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors agree to be generally supportive of the REICAUSTIN and REICAUSTIN’s Board of Directors. II. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors have an obligation to keep themselves informed regarding local, state, and federal laws affecting their industry, their business and also agrees to abide by the legal and ethical standards set forth therein. III. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors will not discriminate against any person for reasons of race, age, religion, creed, sex, country of national origin, children, marital status, or disability. IV. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors agrees to always portray themselves and their products/services truthfully and honestly at all times with club members, including but not limited to advertisements via the newsletter, displays, and demonstrations. V. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors agree not to make any negative comments about any other sponsor or vendor, whether or not that sponsor or vendor portrays competitive products or services. Any such comments or portrayals shall be considered slanderous, are totally unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. VI. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors understands and agree that if any sponsor or vendor shall be accused of violating any of these articles, the Board of Directors may initiate an inquiry or investigation asking the accused sponsor or vendor for an explanation in writing and/or in person at a meeting of the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors will exercise standards of absolute honestly and fairness in any inquiry/investigation and the sponsor or vendor shall have every opportunity to make their fair case. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors also understand and agree that any REICAUSTIN, sponsor or vendor who shall in the end of such an inquiry/investigation be deemed to have violated any one of these articles may be at the sole desertion of the Board of Directors be disavowed of any/all duties, rights, responsibilities and benefits of corporate sponsorship. In this case, sponsor or vendor shall not be entitled to any refund or reimbursement of any previous dues paid to REICAUSTIN. VII. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors will not engage in any illegal, immoral or unethical practices and will always in every way conduct themselves in a professional manner. VIII. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors will not cheat, wrong, or defraud anyone, and particularly not any REICAUSTIN member, sponsor, vendor, owner, resident, or REICASUTIN itself. REICAUSTIN members, sponsors, and vendors shall routinely provide reasonable and fair pricing and terms on all products and/or services offered at all times. (REICAUSTIN has no intention of “policing” our sponsor’s or vendor’s pricing, but does expect them to provide excellent products and services at a fair and competitive price). |
